London City

Our Story

The Irish Dolls in London Facebook community was created in 2018 with the hope of organising social events for Irish women here in London.

Fast forward 5 years, we currently have 8k Irish dolls from Kerry to Belfast, Galway to Dublin and everywhere in between.

Some might say that half of the women from Cork now reside in London.

The page is run by Gemma Hayde from Tipperary who has been living in London for 6 years. Gemma wanted to create a community for Irish women here of all ages, a safe space to navigate the trials and tribulations of life in the city and to have the craic.

The monthly events are always a treat and sell out early. Gemma organises everything from Health & Wellness Workshops, to brunches, to nights out and hikes. Very recently, Gemma has launched The Breakfast club, where a Sunday in the month is chosen to explore a new part of the city and to relax with a breakfast or brunch after. She does this all in her free time and would love to welcome more Irish Dolls to the group.

Gemma has recently started "The Big Irish Meet Up" - a monthly event aimed at getting the Irish together and this one the buachaillí are most welcome to join.

We have smaller groups created for Essex, South, East, West and North London, an "Irish mammies" group and the "Double Fs" who identify as slightly older in the group but are young at heart like us all.

Come join the warm and welcoming community today.

Our Clients Say

J&K_edited_edited_edited.png

"The Irish Dolls in London has been a fantastic group to be part of since my move to London in August 2018 for both professional and personal reasons!

I moved to London around then leaving my job in Ireland after 15 years. I only knew my boyfriend moving here and wanted to work for myself to give me freedom to travel home whenever I wanted. I also needed to make a new group of friends!

This group helped me grow my Hairdressing business from having no clients to now having my own salon...

This group has been the foundation of my business and I will forever be grateful to Gemma for giving me the opportunity to promote myself within the group.

Personally I have made some lifelong friends from this group and have enjoyed getting to know London with many fun nights out with a lot of the lovely girls from the group"
